In this art time-lapse video, I show you how I draw mixed-media portraits using post-consumer cardboard. I used charcoal and soft pastel and previously added grey-green tinted gesso to the cardboard, which had a gel print on it before I added the gesso.

My goal for this art vlog is to get you thinking of how you can start using materials like this in your art practice to get some of the same benefits. I share how using sustainable materials in my art practice has made me a better artist and share what this change looked like in my work across my different art practices.
